“I crouched down to make sure she felt comfortable, and before I knew it, she was cuddled up in my lap and becoming a part of my world,” shared Mary McCraw with The Dodo. “It was definitely a case of love at first sight, the connection was immediate. It just felt like destiny that she ended up with us.”
It was fate – a perfect ending for a couple seeking to heal from the loss of their dog, and a pit bull in search of a loving family. Andra Mack, who had previously fostered Maggie, described the moment as something out of a movie, noting that Maggie was one of the most affectionate dogs they had ever cared for. “It was destiny for them to find each other,” Andra shared with The Dodo. “The warmth and happiness in that moment made me feel like their late dog, Mischka, was watching over them with a smile.”
