Meet Luhu, the grey tabby cat who has taken the internet by storm with over 73,000 followers on his Instagram page. Despite his sad appearance, Luhu’s famous droopy eyes are not natural. When he was only two weeks old, he had to undergo a significant surgery due to eye infections that have affected his vision. As a result, Luhu squints hard whenever he needs to look at something. His owner and Beijing native, Maggie Liu, shared this heartwarming story with ABC News.
Luhu, a feline born on August 12, 2012, has gained a massive fan following of more than 73,000 on his Instagram account, @lanlan731, thanks to his undeniably adorable appearance. Despite his owner Liu being impressed by his level of fame, she never expected Luhu to become so popular when she began posting his pictures on Instagram as a casual hobby.
Liu has a trio of tabby cats, namely Luhu, Barher, and Bardie. These felines share a tight-knit bond and get along with each other quite well, without any quarrels. Although Liu doesn’t have any intentions of seeking fame or publicity, she does document Luhu’s escapades on Instagram. Her sole aspiration is for her beloved cats to remain in good health and to enjoy each other’s company until the end of their days.
