He has covered vast distances, exploring every nook and cranny of the nation, on a mission to find abandoned dogs longing for a loving home. His extraordinary quest recently took him to Chiapas, a captivating Mexican state nestled on the southeastern border, where he continues to be accompanied by his faithful entourage of 14 adorable furry companions.
Edgardo, a compassionate individual hailing from Nayarit, a mesmerizing region in western Mexico, embarks on a tireless expedition day and night, driven by an unwavering mission to uplift the downtrodden lives of mistreated and forsaken animals. Clad in garments generously bestowed upon him by the kind-hearted souls he encounters along his path, this 48-year-old trailblazer’s odyssey represents not solely a selfless act of dedication, but also an indomitable call to awaken the consciousness of society.
As Efe reports, the man reveals that he is accompanied by a pack of dogs from different regions of Mexico who have often been overlooked for adoption and left to roam the streets. These lovable companions have now become an integral part of his team for rescuing dogs, where they not only save their furry friends but also spread a message of kindness and trust. Over the course of his journey, he has successfully saved over 400 dogs in various states of Mexico, including Nayarit, Sinaloa, Sonora, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Campeche, Tabasco, Yucatan, and Quintana Roo.
Dubbed as the “dog guy”, this gentleman fearlessly embarks on a tricycle adventure loaded with an array of essentials, be it nourishment, beverages, footwear, or attire, ready to face any climatic conditions thrown his way. Currently, he navigates the captivating terrain of the Soconusco region in Chiapas, meticulously stopping by the municipalities of Huixtla and Tapachula.
